Hiring Requirements

Current Arizona Dept of Public Safety issued security guard license Or must attend an 8 hour training class, submit to NCIC (National Crime Information Center) background check with current fingerprints and photo, and pay $74 to DPS for their processing and license fee

  • Current Arizona driver's license
  • Personal and reliable transportation
  • Minimum 18 years of age, diploma or GED
  • Speak, read, and write fluently in English
  • Random drug tests
  • Neat, clean, professional appearance, be courteous and tactful
  • Clean-shaven except neatly trimmed mustache not to exceed edge of lips
  • Must provide references and stable work history
  • Verifiable telephone number
  • Must have adequate hearing to perform security related jobs, ability to hear normal conversation at 20 feet and whispered conversation at 10 feet.
  • Must have correctable vision to 20/30.
  • Weight proportionate to height
  • Five year clean driving MVD report for all driving positions

  • Ever convicted of a felony regardless of set aside
  • Any domestic violence, fraud, theft, narcotics, or sexual misconduct
  • Any misconduct with a deadly weapon

Training is one of the most critical elements of a good security guard. Our classroom training is superior quality with class interaction and participation in "what if" scenarios. Combined large screen PowerPoint presentation, lecture, question and answer, observation skill development and hands on radio training. Report content and writing are stressed.
